Finding 'someone special' not hard when true to self

Boo hoo, you can't find that special someone. After reading two days worth of self pity or "Why-can't-I-hook-up" letters," I began to reflect on my own life.

No, I'm not dead sexy, but on the other hand, I do have one thing that men and women both tend to lack — personality! And for that, I'm grateful. For one, I'm not wasting my precious time with a rock. I don't care how fine she is. Secondly, I absolutely hate wasting time or money on a girl who won't talk.

So to comment on guys who hide in corners waiting for a woman to talk to them: It ain't gonna happen. They probably think you've got something to hide, not something to offer.

If a girl won't give me the time of day because I don't wear the right clothes and I don't have the right car or I'm not the right height — good. You're saving us both time and effort.

There are a million excuses we all make up not to get involved with someone. I think the biggest one is, "What will my (so-called) friends think?" So the only advice I have is to take a risk and be true to yourself.

Girls, you'll never find the right guy by looking in the same place all the time or by being too judgmental.

Guys, don't hide in the corner of the room. Quit feeling sorry for yourself, and go get some.

The worst that can happen is you get into a fight with her boyfriend. So what? At least you went down swingin'.
