Investigation: Allegations of a high school athletic coach furnishing alcohol to his underage team were reported yesterday to the State College Police Department. The team and the coach are from outside Centre County and were staying at the Hampton Inn, 1101 E. College Ave., where the offense allegedly took place, police said. No names are being released and police are investigating allegations. No one has been charged.

Theft: A student reported her palm pilot, valued at $575, stolen from a room in the Chambers Building, Penn State Police Services said. The theft took place on Jan. 23 around 1:30 p.m.
