The Undergraduate Student Government Senate appointed four new election commissioners during Tuesday's meeting to help coordinate different aspects of the upcoming race.
USG President Matt Roan, USG Vice President Kelly O'Brien and Head Elections Commissioner David Britz interviewed and approved the candidates, and the Senate finalized the appointments.
Jessica Carrodo (senior-mathematics) won the Voting and Tallying Commissioner position. The position coordinates vote counting on election night.
Town Sen. Becky Werner received the Debate and Public Relations Commissioner position. Her position requires her to oversee the debates and cover public relations for the elections.
South Halls Sen. Erik Ives received the Special Prosecutor position. Ives will investigate any discrepancies that may arise during the elections with candidates and their campaigns.
Jason Martonick (senior-pre-medicine) won an Elections Court Associate Justice position. Martonick has the job of judging and charging candidates if election codes are broken.
A new town senator was also appointed during the meeting. Michele Ross (junior-economics) was inducted into the USG Senate as a town senator.
