Gabriela Gonzalez, an assistant professor of physics, has been selected as the Women Physics Lecturer for 2001.

The Australian Institute of Physics chose Gonzalez for a lecture series created to celebrate the contributions of women to advancements in the discipline.

Gonzalez will visit universities and high schools in Australia as part of the series.

She has been a member of the Penn State staff since 1977 and is doing research in the fields of gravity, gravitational waves and gravitational wave detection.
