Weather Highlight
Icy conditions glazed the ground of Happy Valley yesterday morning. The slippery walk to class was a result of freezing rain. In order for this to occur, there must be a pocket of warm air above the cold ground. If the warm air can melt the precipiation, it will fall as rain through the warm layer, before freezing upon contact with the cold ground.
