Plenty of 'good guys' here; girls need to make move

I have one word to say to Rick Law in regard to his column that offered advice for the ladies: Amen! Rick completely told it like it so unfortunately is. I have many female friends who are always asking, "Where are the good guys?"

I know of many around me (and hopefully, I am included) that can be classified as a "good guy." The good guys out there are looking for more than just a "one-night sheet shagger," so the fear of rejection is much greater for us in that occasional instance when we get up the guts to talk to a girl.

I don't think I have to tell anyone that there are plenty of women attractive enough on this campus to make us want to make that move, but how many of those who "have boyfriends," "aren't interested," or plainly "have to wash their hair?"

Rick has it right. What happened to the revolution of women? Why is it that the guy that always has to initiate conversation? I guarantee all the women out there that most of the guys coming up to you to initiate the conversation aren't the guys you're looking for. He's the one standing in the corner saying: "Damn, that guy is lucky to be with her." Many of the instances that you think a guy isn't worth your while are due to the fact you haven't known him long enough. Given enough time, a "good guy" will become a great guy.
