Frank Bradley's article Thursday about the new music spot, The Co-Op, grossly misrepresented punk culture. While this article should have been an informative piece about The Co-Op, Bradley includes several misleading and ignorant statements in his writeup.

Mr. Bradley claims to be "not particularly fond of punk." Fine, not everyone is, but then he goes on to call punk "obnoxiously loud music." Mr. Bradley obviously has not taken the time to listen to bands such as Bad Religion, Rancid and Face to Face, who have actual musical talent.

Bradley again reiterates that punk "is not exactly my preference." However, he should realize his article does not appear in the opinion page, and should stick to fair reporting without his musical bias interfering with his writing.
