Hit and Run: A hit and run accident occurred at 4:23 p.m. Friday on the 100 block of North Atherton Street when a 1996 Ford Contour struck a 2000 Nissan Maxima driven by J. Richard Barth of State College, according to the State College Police Department.
Barth was driving southbound on Atherton Street, approaching College Avenue, when the Contour pulled out of a parking lot across from Kinko's The Copy Center, 101 N. Atherton St. The driver of the Contour pulled between two vehicles in the right lane, then proceeded into the left lane and collided with Barth's car, State College police said.
The driver of the Contour fled the scene, proceeding northbound on Atherton Street. He turned around, drove past the accident scene once and left again, police said.
A witness reported the Contour's license plate number, which State College police traced to Penn State student Kyle Schlenker, 20, of New Tripoli, Pa.
State College police said Schlenker will receive a citation for vehicles entering from another roadway. No injuries were reported. Both cars sustained minor damage.

The alleged victim, Lisa Clark, set up a video camera in her room after suspecting a cleaning crew of stealing money from her dresser, said police.
The estimated value of money stolen Thursday was $100 and about $900 on Jan. 11, according to police.
Lewis, charged with theft and receiving stolen property, was released on unsecured bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday in Centre County Court.
