Today's University Park forecast
sun Sunny skies will fade later today as high pressure slides off the East Coast and a fast-moving cold front moves in tonight. This front will bring light snow to the region overnight and into tomorrow, but another area of high pressure will build in by Sunday. After a brief warm-up, another storm will take aim at the region on Tuesday and may provide a wintry mess.

Weather Highlight


Mt. Merapi, in Indonesia, has been spewing clouds of ash and gas for the past two weeks. As a result, residents in surrounding communities are now dealing with ash-filled rain, on top of their worries about an impending eruption.
