Today's
University Park forecast
After yesterdays milder conditions, Happy Valley
will return to a winter chill. The passage of a cold

conditions, but high pressure building in behind the
front will bring afternoon sunshine today. Snow showers
may arrive on Saturday as a disturbance moves through the
area, but look forward to some sunshine by the end of the
weekend.--Prepared by the Campus Weather Service

Valley might seem frigid, conditions in Russia have been
much more extreme. Since Oct 10th, 104 people have died
of hypothermia in Moscow. Temperatures in the town of
Khingansk plummeted to minus 70 degrees Fahrenheit; as a
result, eight apartment buildings lost heat completely.
