Media expert to speak

Robert Novak, known for his political commentary in print and television media, will speak at 8 p.m. today in 112 Kern. The speech, hosted by Penn State's Young Americans for Freedom, is titled "Washington: An Overview."

The talk will cover topics surrounding the recent election as well as President George W. Bush's cabinet appointments, according to a YAF news release.

The speech, which will be free of charge, will not be the only activity of the evening. Attendees will participate in a mock election using ballots like the disputed ones from Palm Beach County, Fla.

"I put together a pretty good representation of the infamous butterfly ballot," said YAF Chairman Jeff Budney. "We are going to ask everyone that comes to the speech to fill one out."
