Letter to the Editor
No politicians are honest, but Clinton is not so bad
In response to the letters knocking Clinton: I am a former Soviet citizen, and I have heard enough ideology from politicians. Read my lips: no honest politicians. There are no "good Christians" up there, but smart actors playing saints, trying to appeal to the emotions of religious and honest voters. But the behavior of Republican committee on the Lewinsky scandal is much more unethical than the president's conduct. I decided to vote for Democrats. And yes, I would have voted for Clinton if he ran again. I am electing a president, not a priest to teach me ethics. There are families and churches for that. So grow up and stop looking at your "great" leaders with tears in your eyes. That is what people in totalitarian countries do. And those who accused Clinton of not improving health care, recall that he tried to push the bill through Congress and Republicans, along with conservative Democrats, opposed it. Nevertheless, he has made an important start.
