Students in large classes must first fill middle seats
Something happened to me today when I went to class in 26 Hosler that perfectly illustrated one of my biggest pet peeves. You all know what this classroom and many others like it are like: two aisles with about 500 seats in between them, and there's about two inches of legroom. Usually, I like to sit as close to the center as possible to get the best view. So I spotted a row where there's about 10 empty seats in the center. Perfect. Except for the fact that it is blocked by two girls who decided to sit in the two seats closest to the aisle. When I politely asked them for permission to get by so I could get to the center seats, they flashed me this look as if I had just thrown them some raunchy pick-up line, then asked them to take a topless photo with me. Excuse me, ladies! If you hadn't sat in the aisle seats when there was almost an entire row of empty seats, then you wouldn't have to be picking up your stuff now to let me through and suffer as I have to stuff my butt in your face to get by! And those poor people sitting on the floor in the back might have a seat that they paid for to sit in! Moral of the story: Sit in the empty seats in the middle of a row so that people don't have to pretend to be an American Gladiator and climb over you to get to those seats.
