The former Penn State student who was charged with the June 2 sexual assault of a co-worker was sentenced yesterday to three to six years in state prison.
Darold Davis was convicted in October of a second-degree felony, which mandates a state prison term. According to police documents, the victim went to bed and woke up to discover Davis on top of her. She attempted to push him off. He pushed her back down and proceeded to have sex with her, the report said.
During a police interview, Davis admitted to having sex with the victim, but said he thought the victim consented.
Davis, who was found not guilty of rape charges stemming from the incident, graduated from Penn State less than a month before the assault.
