Today's University Park forecast
snow Cloudy conditions will continue to plague Happy Valley through the weekend as a minor disturbance affects the region later today. Early into the weekend, a major winter storm will rock the East Coast bringing rain, freezing rain, or snow before turning to all snow on Saturday. Snow showers will remain through the end of the weekend as colder air settles in behind the storm.

Weather Highlight


An earthquake registering 2.4 on the Richter Scale rattled New York City yesterday morning. The quake was even felt 13 miles away in Newark, NJ. No injures or damages were reported, and it lasted only a few seconds. One resident on the Upper East Side described the earthquake as a boom followed by a slight shaking.
