Nominations are being sought for Achieving Women Awards to be given in March to honor accomplishments of women throughout the university.

The Commission for Women, now celebrating its 20th year, wants to recognize women who have achieved and excelled at Penn State and in their communities.

The commission is seeking nominations for women from the following several categories: faculty, staff, administrative, technical service, locations outside University Park and both graduate and undergraduate students.

The deadline for nominations is Feb. 16. Submission criteria, guidelines and nomination forms are available on the organization's Web site at www.lions.psu.edu/cfw/ or by contacting the Commission for Women office at 865-1683.

The women selected for the year 2001 will be honored at the Commission for Women's annual banquet on March 19 at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.
