Gibson gives a dynamic show

In What Women Want, Mel Gibson portrays the ultimate playboy, Nick Marshall, in this witty look at understanding the sexes. Nick has no problem schmoozing waitresses and co-workers with his insatiable charm until he meets his match, Darcy McGuire (Helen Hunt), who happens to be his boss.

Luckily for Nick a strange accident — not to mention one of the funniest scenes in the movie — involving Gibson in quasi drag falling into a full bathtub with a hairdryer gives him the ability to know exactly what woman want.

Mel Gibson is at his best with this dynamic, energetic performance that earned him a Golden Globe nomination. The onscreen chemistry between Gibson and Hunt — and a touch of Ol' Blue Eyes — adds the romantic flair that gives the movie its charm. Woman will want to laugh and men will want to take notes.
