Project IGI

Find a stolen nuclear warhead, infiltrate enemy bunkers and discreetly eliminate hundreds of rogue Russian soldiers.

Reviewing a game was never so much fun.

Eidos Interactive has recently released Project IGI. Players take the role of a top British agent who must foil a plot for world domination with only his wit and his weapons.

Not James Bond, but close enough.

Project IGI is a new title in a new genre of action games that emphasize thought and stealth over bullets and bloodshed.

In 14 lengthy missions, players get to exercise their minds as well as their trigger fingers. Traditional frontal assaults result in a quick end, so players must strategize a plan of attack to succeed.

The missions are challenging and often frustrating. Some can take many replays to find the proper solution.

Borrowing a graphics engine from a flight simulator, the game provides you with vast levels to explore. The details of your surroundings are only surpassed by the details of the weapons and the blood you splatter.

With its beautifully done graphics, Project IGI makes you stop to enjoy the view, then enjoy the killing.
