In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the University Office of International Programs International Speakers Series will present Koby Koomson at 1:45 p.m. today in the Grandfather Clock Lounge at Atherton Hall, in conjunction with Schreyer Honors College and the African and African American Studies Forum on Black Affairs.
Koomson is the Ghanaian Ambassador to the United States and plays a critical role in strengthening political and economic cooperation between the two countries. He also played a key role in arranging the first visit of a sitting U.S. President to Ghana in March 1998 when President Bill Clinton visited the African country.
