Milton Cole, distinguished professor of physics, will receive the 2001 National Academy of Sciences Award for scientific reviewing, including both his reviews and research on electrons and surface films in materials science.

The award, including a monetary prize, has been presented annually since 1979. Cole will travel to Washington, D.C. in April to receive the award.
