CATA adjusts Loop and Link schedules

Centre Area Transportation Authority has made changes to the Town and Campus Loops, the Link, and the Centre Line bus schedules for 2001.

With the new route schedule the Town and Campus Loops drop off and pick up passengers at the Jordan East parking lot daily.

In other changes, the first Link trip now leaves the Jordan Center East parking lot at 4:30 a.m. It operates every 15 minutes until 5:30 a.m., then every 20 minutes until 7:30 a.m. when the Link runs on its usual schedule, every 10 minutes.

The Centre Line has several routes that have been altered — including the B Route, which will now expand to include Tussey Mountain. It will also provide express 6:15 p.m. service to Tussey Mountain from Jan. 15 through Feb. 16.

Under the new schedule, the W Route service starts 20 minutes earlier on weekdays to provide earlier morning service from downtown and campus to the North Atherton Street corridor. The H Route will begin using Lowes Boulevard between Waddle Road and North Atherton Street, using the four new bus stops in the Colonnade shopping center.

New stops have also been added in Park Forest Village, Sandy Drive and Pleasant Gap, while the stops on North and South Atherton Streets have been combined into single stops.
