Danny Glover, known as much for his on-screen excellence as his off-screen benevolence, will visit campus later this month to be the third speaker in this year's Distinguished Speaker Series.
The star of the Lethal Weapon movies and former goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Program, the 53-year-old actor and activist will address the Penn State community at 8 p.m. on Jan. 25 in Eisenhower Auditorium.
Recently, Glover delivered an Emmy-nominated performance in the made-for-TV movie Freedom Song, and he continues to advocate for a variety of societal issues.
Tickets to the speech are free and will become available, as usual, during three consecutive days next week.
Penn State students can pick up passes beginning Jan. 16, faculty and staff the next day, and the general public on Jan. 18. The box office in Eisenhower is open from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
