. The
frigid weather of the past week will gradually abate this
weekend. After a few lingering snow showers and snow
squalls this morning, skies will slowly clear.
Temperatures will moderate to very mild levels by Monday,

Fact
Will we have a white Christmas?
Historically, State College has a 50-75% chance of snow
cover on December 25th. Pittsburgh historically has a 50%
chance and Philadelphia has around a 25% chance. However,
Given the favorable pattern for lake effect snow this
season, snow cover will be most likely in the
northwestern part of the state.
