Burglary: Someone stole $2,700 worth of items from the unlocked apartment of a 21-year-old Penn State student while he was sleeping early yesterday morning, State College Police Department said.

The apartment, on the 700 block of Southgate Drive, was entered sometime between midnight and 3 a.m., police said.

The stolen items included stereo components, CDs, DVDs, a Playstation game system and video games, a Nintendo game system and video games, video game accessories, a cell phone and a book bag.
