Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: A Penn State student reported Sunday the slashing of 18 tires on nine vehicles parked in the parking lot of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, 200 E. Beaver Ave, according to the State College Police Department.

    The slashing occurred between late Saturday and early Sunday.

  • Criminal Mischief: At Delta Upsilon fraternity, 229 Locust Lane, a Penn State student reported 6 attempted vehicle break-ins that occurred between late Saturday and early Sunday, according to State College police.

    Items stolen included a hunting knife and other miscellaneous items valued at more than $1,850.

  • Theft: A Penn State student reported Saturday the theft of 2 sub-woofers, an acoustic amp, a CD case containing 48 CDs and two T-shirts, according to State College police.

    The approximate value of the stolen items is $1320.

  • Theft: A 23-year-old Altoona resident was arrested at Kaufmann's Department Store, 2901 E. College Ave., for the theft of $371 worth of merchandise.

    She was arraigned and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
