A new speaker series will feature an internationally known leader in economics and political science today.
Charles Plott, a professor from the California Institute of Technology, will discuss "Markets as Information Gathering Tools" at 1:30 p.m. today in the Nittany Lion Inn Board Room.
The speech is first in a series that will be sponsored once a month by the Smeal College of Business.
Plott's research has led to fundamental discoveries, such as the equilibration tendencies of committees that operate under majority rule, according to a Smeal news release.
The event is free and open the public.
