Letter to the Editor
Bush will win the election because he's more human

I am so sick and tired of people saying that Bush is not qualified or smart enough to be president. Granted he is not Einstein, but is Gore? Is a man who lies about things that he doesn't even need to lie about, smart? Are his well rehearsed, adviser-encrypted speeches and answers supposed to reflect upon his intelligence?

Do you honestly believe that Gore will make a presidential decision different from what his advisors have told him to do? That's all he has ever done. Al Gore is as rehearsed and wooden as politicians come. He will give the same answers to the same questions until a poll tells him to switch to a more popular answer. That's hardly being intelligent with an independent mind.

The fact that George W. Bush is a real person with real steadfast values and real unwavering positions doesn't make him unintelligent. Bush is exactly what this country needs. You may not agree with his simple values, but don't dare insult me, or my party, or my candidate because he sticks to his positions and believes in the values his family and country have taught him.
