During the month of November, State College residents will have the chance to benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.

The Designer's Denn, 208 Calder Way, will be holding the Designer's Denn, Make-A-Wish for Beauty. Salon customers choosing to make a donation are entered into one of the five separate prize drawings based on the amount of their contribution.

Prizes include the chance to win $100 in products, with the grand-prize being a year's worth of free haircuts.

The foundation's Western Pennsylvania, Southern West Virginia chapter is currently one of the most active chapters in the country, serving 33 counties, and fulfilling nearly 3,900 wishes since its creation in 1983.
