Today's University Park forecast
rain Another mild day is on tap for today as southerly winds allow for warm air to stream into our region. However, a storm system approaching during the day on Friday will generate more clouds and an increased threat of rain. By Saturday, a strong cold front will pass through the area, returning temperatures to more seasonable levels in time for the end of the weekend..

Highlight

Though the official start of winter is nearly two months away, on this date in 1859, New York City received a taste of the season to come as four inches of snow blanketed the city. This snow event proved to be the earliest substantial snowfall ever recorded in the Big Apple.

Fall Foliage

Fall foliage has reached its peak in north-central parts of the Commonwealth and will be reaching its peak just about everywhere else in Pennsylvania this coming week.
