Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: An unknown person damaged a noise monitoring device at the University Park Airport between 5 p.m. Monday and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Penn State Police Services.

    Value of the damage is estimated at $3,500, police said.

  • Simple Assault: An unknown assailant punched a man in his left eye near Rec Hall Monday night, said Penn State police.

    It may have been a racially motivated attack, police said.

    The victim, a white male, told police his attacker, also a white male, punched him because the assailant believed the victim to be a racist based on his appearance, police said.

    The assailant is described as a 5 feet 11 inches, 180-pound white male of medium build with black hair, police said.

    He was wearing jeans and a T-shirt at the time of the attack, police said.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
