Letter to the Editor
Editing 'Collegian' letters very similar to censorship

By cutting the maximum size of letters by almost half, the Collegian might as well be saying to the Penn State community, "We value our own opinions more than we value yours." I find it funny that the staff columnists can fill up the pages with as much garbage as they need to, but everyone else is limited to a measly 250 words. This is flagrant censorship. I realize that the Collegian cannot publish everything, but I do not understand why 400 words is too large. I am not aware of any other college or university publications that are doing this.
