Robert E. Hauser, assistant professor of history at Penn State McKeesport, was named Penn Stater of the Quarter for the period of July, August and September 2000.
For more than 30 years, colleagues have recognized Hauser for his dedicated teaching at Penn State McKeesport.
"Bob Hauser has worked tirelessly in coordinating the honors program and budget as well as the summer freshman testing, counseling and advising program," said Campus Executive Officer Curtiss E. Porter in a Penn State press release.
"In addition, he has volunteered his services during lunch hours to provide technology-update training for colleagues interested in expanding their computer knowledge," Porter said.
Developed by the Commonwealth College, the program is an opportunity to thank faculty, staff members and students who serve the university above and beyond what is required.
Hauser will be invited to a recognition luncheon at University Park along with employees from other Commonwealth Campuses.
