In yesterday's column about ticketing, Tim McKenna makes the point that the tickets written on campus benefit no one and seems to suggest the image of University Police employees sitting around and smoking Cuban cigars as they become wealthy from the ticketing proceeds. If I'm not mistaken, however, I believe that the vast majority of proceeds from campus tickets go towards scholarships and the like. I've been in the parking office. There ain't no student-funded jacuzzi in there, folks.
