 [Tuesday,
Oct. 3, 2000 ] Today's
University Park forecast
Much of the Northeast
is experiencing above normal temperatures and little
precipitation, as high pressure centered over Southeast
portions of the country dominates the weather. However,
an approaching cold front to the west will bring the
threat of precipitation by Wednesday. Once it passes,
expect sunnier conditions and cooler temperatures for the
beginning of fall break.

Highlight
Tropical Storm Keith, located off the coast of Belize
and east of the Yucatan Penninsula, is weakening as it
moves over land. Keith continues to cause torrential
rains and flooding as it stalled over the region. Keith
is expected to dump as much as 15 inches of rain over the
Yucatan Penninsula and Belize which will cause more
widespread flash flooding.
Fall
Foliage
Fall foliage is
currently patchy over most of Pennsylvania, with green
leaves still dominating the landscape of southeastern
Pennsylvania entirely.
