Today's University Park forecast
sunWarming temperatures will prevail through midweek as a bit of summer returns to Happy Valley before the changing of the seasons. Tropical Storm Gordon will spread some clouds into the area for the next two days, although no rain is expected from this storm. Once a cold front passes through the region later in the week, showers and cooler temperatures can be expected.

Tropical Storm Gordon was downgraded from hurricane status last night as it moved into North-central Florida. A tropical system is classified as a tropical storm if its maximum sustained winds are at least 39 miles per hour. Winds must exceed 74 miles per hour for a storm to be considered a hurricane.
