 [Tuesday,
Aug. 29, 2000 ] Today's
University Park forecast
The
stationary front that has kept much of Pennsylvania
overcast and damp as of late will continue its slow exit
off the East Coast today. In its wake, we will experience
more pleasant weather than in recent days as temperatures
warm and skies brighten. However, expect scattered
showers and thunderstorms to be present througout the
weekend as a storm sytem impacts our regions.

Highlight
While the
Mid-Atlantic experienced soggy conditions the last few
days, the lack of rain is adding up in Texas! Today will
mark the 60th consecutive day without rain in the Dallas
area. Over $595 million dollars has been lost in the
state in agricultural production, and no relief is in
sight.
