With the Verizon strike resolved and more than 35,000 telephone workers back on the job, Verizon representatives said students can expect their phone service back within the next two weeks.

For the next two years, the largest highway project in Pennsylvania will be in Penn State's own backyard.

A Russian court ruled yesterday that State College resident and Russian prisoner Edmond Pope will not be released to a hospital despite his current medical condition, according to reports from The Associated Press.

They leave home just as any other college student, but they can't return every weekend.

Management at The Daily Collegian said this week that Penn State's Newspaper Readership Program hurts the student-run publication by forcing it to compete with professionals.



The first Friday of the semester will mean big parties, new people and alcohol for some students tonight. That can be a recipe for trouble.
