Today's University Park forecast
sunHigh pressure will start to slide east of Happy Valley today, giving us slightly warmer temperatures. However, showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop over the Midwest today. This storm complex should enter Pennsylvania late tonight and into Wednesday. Another Canadian high pressure system will enter the region on Thursday, yielding further cool temperatures.

Highlight


Tropical storm Debby continues to drift westward towards the Leeward Islands at about 20 mph. Debby is close to hurricane strength with winds near 70 mph. Rainfall of up to 4 to 6 inches is possible, which will create possible flash flood and mud slide problems. This storm is expected to continue its current track towards Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
