Penn State has named Toby Simpson its new assistant men's tennis coach. Simpson will join head coach Jan Bortner on the Nittany Lion staff immediately.

Simpson is a 1998 graduate of Southern Mississippi. A four-year letterman at USM, he was ranked No. 52 in the country his senior year and was a first team Conference USA selection twice. Simpson was also a member of the first team in Southern Miss history to participate in the NCAA championship tournament.
