The School of Information Sciences and Technology will sponsor its first IST Faculty Academy in Information Technology Wednesday on campus. Two hundred educators from more than 50 colleges and universities across Pennsylvania will be in attendance, according to a Penn State press release.

The two-day conference, Roadmap for Success in the 21st Century Classroom, is intended to provide faculty members and administrators with the tools and knowledge they need to effectively use cutting-edge learning technologies.

The ultimate beneficiaries of the conference will be students attending the Commonwealth Campuses. Organizers plan to make the academy an annual event and create an ongoing community of practice.
