Sigma Nu fraternity, 340 N. Burrowes St., charged with serving alcohol to a minor, waived its preliminary hearing Wednesday. The case comes at a time when some fraternities are considering going dry.

Suspects from two robberies that took place last fall in State College faced preliminary hearings Wednesday before District Justice Daniel Hoffman.

Thanks to a $100,000 grant from the University Park Allocation Committee, students can buy tickets to performances at Penn State's Center for the Performing Arts for the lowest prices in 10 years, said Joe Jefcoat, director of the center.

A Bellefonte man was arraigned Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault.
