Today's University Park forecast
sunAfter a pleasant day today, clouds and scattered showers associated with an approaching storm system will push into our region overnight. The slow-moving nature of this storm will result in a rather cloudy and damp Arts Festival weekend, though the weather will improve by the start of the work week as skies clear and temperatures begin to rebound.

Highlight

While much of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic has yet to experience a significant heat wave this year, parts of the South and Great Plains have already received more than their share of summertime heat. The excessive heat has been blamed for the deaths of four people in Houston, TX this week. Unfortunately, no relief is in sight for residents in the Great Plains, as daytime highs are expected to exceed 100 degrees across much of the region over the next several days.
