A large variety of activities, crafts and entertainment were provided throughout the day along South Allen Street and on Old Main Lawn.

Buying a car or a house is an expense most people need to do some creative financing to afford. Apparently, buying a new municipal building is a similar experience for a borough.

One of the National Governors' Association's main topics at the 2001 meeting in Rhode Island will be a study of higher education, Maryland Gov.. Parris Glendening said.

    The Downtown State College Partnership and the Penn State Alumni Association installed historic plaques at seven downtown buildings which honor the buildings' history.

    In a storefront window on College Avenue, there hangs a digital clock, perpetually counting down to a time awaited by Nittany Lions football fans across the country.

    Natalie Ciccone and Randy Press have been named Penn State Sports Information Assistants.
