After Svoboda's Books, a State College downtown fixture for almost 17 years, closes its doors next month, professors like Nan Woodruff will be forced to send their students elsewhere for textbooks.

The Penn State Athletic Ticket office has announced that student ticket sales will end tomorrow for Kickoff Classic XVIII, between Penn State and Southern California. Tickets are $40, and there is a two-ticket limit per student ID for the Aug. 27 contest at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Penn State's Jessica Kern finished in fifth place in the heptathlon at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

Coming off a strong performance as hosts of the Nittany Lion Relays last weekend, the Penn State men's outdoor track team is heading south to Philadelphia for one of the largest track meets of the year — The Penn Relays.
