Penn State hosts indoor soccer tournament Though not a shindig like last weekend, a whole lot of shaking will be going on as 18 men's club soccer teams invade the indoor Multi-Sport Complex this weekend. PSU takes on Illinois, Northwestern As the Penn State men's tennis team defeated Duquesne on March 30, its placing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association top 75 dropped. PSU begins Big Ten softball Today, the Penn State softball team will begin Big Ten play as it attempts to add to its six-game winning streak. PSU set for first competition The Penn State club crew team will have its first big competition of the season this weekend at the Knecht Cup in Camden, N.J., on Cooper River. The races will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday morning and will conclude at about 5 p.m. the same day. Lion takes mascot championship It was Penn State pride that shone through in the final round of ESPN.com's Battle of the Mascots. Seating reduced for 2000 Blue-White game Stadium seating will be reduced to a capacity of 56,000 for the 2000 BlueWhite game on April 15. The seating reduction, along with other changes, are from the on-going construction of the Beaver Stadium expansion. PSU's Jepson selected as Coach-of-the-Year After guiding the Nittany Lions to the NCAA championship, Penn State men's gymnastics coach Randy Jepson has been named Coach-of-the-Year by the College Gymnastics Association.
