$20,000 rasied by Student-Athlete Board


UNIVERSITY PARK — At Thon 2000 the Penn State Student-Athlete Advisory Board raised more than $20,000. That figure is the second-highest amount among non-greek student organizations at dance marathon.

The Student-Athlete board was among 115 non-greek organization that took place in the Rec Hall event.

In total, members of the the Student-Athlete Board raised $20,965.96 for the 28th annual event, which helped raise more than three million dollars.

Of the 680 students who danced in Thon eight were student-athletes including women's soccer goalkeeper Emily Oleksiuk and women's lacrosse players Christine Kenney, Stacey Saggese, Katie Schiller and Jaime Shelbrack. Katy Bradley respresnted the women's track and field squad while Greg Oldfield represented the men's soccer team.
