Judge dismisses Heicklen charges
The Centre County Court of Common Pleas dismissed charges last week against Julian Heicklen, retired Penn State professor and libertarian candidate for Centre County Commissioner.

Assembly passes largest appropriations increase
Pennsylvania lawmakers passed the largest appropriations increase for Penn State in 10 years on Friday. Gov. Tom Ridge signed House Bill 983, which designates $314.1 million to Penn State, including $12.2 million for the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Council disputes building
The State College Borough Council approved the design, size and budget for the proposed municipal building during last night's meeting, despite disagreement from council members Elizabeth Goreham and Janet Knauer regarding all points.
