UPAC chair quits

Keith Magasich, chair of the University Park Allocation Committee, resigned yesterday from his position.

UPAC Chair-elect Tonya Cozzo, who has been transitioning into the position, will replace Magasich.

Cozzo said this is her second year in UPAC but declined to comment on Magasich's resignation.

Magasich, whose term was due to expire at the end of next month, said he left because of personal reasons.

"My time would have been up in a few weeks anyhow," Magasich said.

UPAC is comprised of 35 people, with 10 elected positions.

An internal UPAC committee determines the appointed positions through an interview process.

The chair is internally elected by UPAC members.

Members of UPAC were elected yesterday along with representatives for the Undergraduate Student Government and Association of Residence Hall Students.
