Absentee ballots available

Students who will be out of town or unable to attend Wednesday's student government elections can cast an absentee ballot from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in 317 HUB.

The absentee ballot is new this year to the elections for the Undergraduate Student Government, Association of Residence Hall Students and University Park Allocation Committee, said Meghan Walsh, head elections commissioner.

The option was added after a student expressed concern about missing the election, she said.

"If a student wants to share their voice, we want to make sure it's heard," Walsh said.

Absentee voting may be expanded in the future depending on how successful the program is this year, she said.

Walsh said students must present their ID with Lion Cash serial number upon voting.
