around a strong high pressure system will deliver mild
air and sunny skies today. A weak disturbance will
quickly pass north of the region Thursday, bringing with

Highlight
Twelve years ago on this date, the weather was not
quite as tranquil. A powerful spring storm brought a
combination of tornadoes, torrential rains, and heavy
snow to the southern United States. Over eight million
dollars of damage resulted from this storm.
